The Will Work For Food webinars are presented every Thursday at 4pm UK time on some timely topic. These webinars last for an hour. There is no charge, instead it is hoped that attendees  will make a donation of any size to their local food bank.

This Thursday’s webinar is titled Mediation, Technology and Climate Change. It explains where we are with tackling climate change, impact of technology and what a mediator’s role. The talk is being given by Damian Croker - mediator, technology sector specialist and climate change activist.

Damian’s webinar is dedicated to the Bournemouth Foodbank set up in 2008. In 2022 they provided emergency food and support to more than 12,000 people, of which 3,500 were children who visited one of their four centres across Bournemouth. Your support will help them keep their doors open and provide a warm welcoming space where people can come for a drink or hot, nutritious meal.

The Bournemouth foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust’s UK Foodbank Network that consist of 428 foodbanks. The Network was founded in Salisbury in 2004. In 2021/22, The Trussell Trust’s Foodbank Network provided 2,173,158 three-day emergency food supplies and support to UK people in crisis. Of these, 832,109 went to children.
